About Aguaje
Aguaje (Mauritia flexuosa) is the orange-red fruit of the moriche palm, harvested from Amazon swamps in Peru. It is one of the richest plant sources of beta-carotene and is eaten fresh, as ice cream and juice in Iquitos.
